About
While I was originally called to the bar in Ontario, my legal career in B.C. began when I was offered a position at Microtel Ltd. (a subsidiary of B.C. Tel) as Manager of Contracts. While at Microtel I studied for admission to the B.C. Bar and was called in 1988.
I was then offered a position as V.P. Contracts at Epic Data which was followed with positions at EBCO Industries.
In 1990 I entered private practice as a sole practitioner. Realizing the need to market and promote my legal services I authored various newspaper columns in several publications throughout the Fraser Valley, called “Under Appeal”. These columns ran for over ten (10) years with my picture appearing next to the column wearing my trademark fedora. As a result, I became known throughout the lower mainland of B.C. as the, “lawyer with the hat”.
Looking to further increase my profile, I hosted and produced a live call-in program with selected guests. This was known as Under Appeal, which ran for over ten (10) years on various cable T.V. networks broadcast throughout the lower mainland.
I continue to practice family law. My law firm offers several other areas of practice, including real estate, succession planning, and corporate law. With the additional associates we created Taylor Law Group, a full-service law firm.
